Bardot's Girl
Last Tuesday I met up with the beautiful Louise Flowers for our first shoot! I first saw Louise at Brighton Fashion Week a few years ago and we have been meaning to work together ever since but we never quite got round to it, until now! :)
We met up and made our way down to the beach for a morning shoot! Here are some of the final images! You can also see the shoot on my website here: www.tomsimmonds.com/bardotsgirl
Hopefully there will be many more shoot to come! :D In the mean time be sure to follow Louise on twitter!
The Tiny Trees Project
Back in 2012 I had one of my images featured on the front cover of Token Art Magazine, this was an image of a tree in a jar, just a little concept for a photo I through up while bored one day.
But since then the idea of doing a full project based on these kinds of images has always been at the back of my mind. Now that my skeleton project is pretty much complete (save for any odd ideas I have for it) I thought now would be a good time to get started on something new!
Here are some behind the scenes type images for the past couple of days where I have been hard at work getting the first batch of images done for the project! Unlike my last one I won't be restricting myself to one image per week and I won't be making one every week no matter what, unless I feel like it that is. :P
I'll be posting the first set of final images in an upcoming blog post! Be sure to keep your eye out for it! :)
The Cement Works
Way back, probably about 3 years now I found a location that I wanted to shoot in, however I never quite got round to shooting there. A few weeks ago me and a couple of friends decided to go and explore there and this gave me the opportunity to see if it was actually as shoot worthy as it seemed on google maps haha. As it turned out it was and a couple of weeks later I met up with the lovely Caitlin for a little test shoot there.
We met up last Friday and made our way to the old abandoned Shoreham Cement Works, it's an amazing location that is begging for photos. If you can stand breathing in possibly cancer causing dust then it's perfect! :D
And now as I am an incredibly efficient person (for a temporary time only I'm sure) here are the final images! :)
Be sure to follow Caitlin on Twitter and Instagram. :)
